Sponsor a Self-Advocate or Family Member
You can help make the Global Forum open to all by sponsoring a self-advocate or family member. Not all those hoping to attend will be able to pay travel, registration and accommodation expenses.
If you make your contribution online, please indicate in the message box whether your contribution is to help sponsor a Self-Advocate or a Family Member. You can also identify that your donation is to support an individual travelling from a developing country.

Please note on your cheque, money order or a covering letter whether your contribution is to help sponsor a Self-Advocate, a Family Member or an individual travelling from a developing country.
Please indicate the amount you are willing to contribute, keeping in mind the following costs:
- Travel Costs
- $500.00-$1,500.00 for a participant from Canada, the U.S. or Europe;
- $1,500-$2,500 for an individual from a developing country
- Accommodation and Meals (for 6 nights) based on double occupancy
- with a support person - $2,000.00
- without a support person - $1,400.00
- Global Forum Registration
- for Self-Advocate - $185.00
- for Family Member - $220.00
- CACL 50th Anniversary Registration (includes Celebration Dinner Banquet)
- for Self-Advocate - $225.00
- for Family Member - $255.00
Charitable receipts will be issued for your contribution.
How to Apply for Funding
We are seeking funds to sponsor self-advocates to participate in the Global Forum. If funding is secured, we will provide it on a 'first come-first served' basis, and taking into account our hopes to have as diverse a regional representation as possible.
To put your name on a list for financial support, please email Glenda@seatoskymeetings.com. We can make no guarantees but we will confirm with you no later than October 1 if funding becomes available.
